Obituary for Jean Ann White

Jean Ann  White
Jean Ann Holloway White December 8, 1925 – May 1, 2017

Beloved mother, Grandma, Great Grandma, Sister, Aunt and friend passed peacefully in her sleep on May 1st. She was born and raised in Boise, ID graduated from Boise High School and pursued a nursing career participating in the Cadet Nursing program during WWII. A portion of her training took her to Salem, Oregon where she met and married Robert C. “Bob” White on November 5, 1947. Jean Ann and Bob lived in several cities throughout Oregon returning to Salem in 1972 where they lived the remainder of their years.
She retired from her nursing career at Salem Memorial Hospital in 1982. She was life time and founding member of Thoroughbred Exhibiters Assoc. and life time member of Oregon Equestrian Trails and the Salem Saddle Club. She was a faithful follower of Jesus Christ active in her church and with her church family. She loved animals, especially dogs, and also loved to travel in the south west.
She is preceded in death by her parents George and Gladys, brother Ross and husband Bob. She is survived by four children, son Steve White (Marti) and daughters Ruthie Geider (John), Nancy Cox (Doug) and Judy White Taylor (Paul). She also has 5 grandchildren Ayssa White, Stephanie Warner, Kady Yokum, Andrew Cox and Grace Ann Marie Taylor, 7 great grandchildren, sisters Phylis Eakins (Ron) and Barbara Clark (Jim) as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Jean Ann was dearly loved by her family and will be deeply missed.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, May 30th at 1:00 PM at Restlawn Funeral Home, 201 Oak Grove Rd NW, Salem, OR 97304, followed by burial at Restlawn Memory Garden's.
